Mourning Dove
The mourning dove is a gentle bird with a serene presence, often characterized by its mournful, low-pitched cooing calls. Its large, dark eyes are strikingly similar to those of a lizard, with a flat, wide shape. These dove’s eyes seem almost reptilian, adding to their unique and endearing charm. In terms of their social habits, mourning doves are known to get along surprisingly well with other creatures, such as chipmunks, which often share their habitat. In fact, these two species have even been observed playing together. This peaceful coexistence is a testament to the dove’s calm and non-threatening nature.
